Our History and How We Got Started

Ronnie Coker, owner of Artisan Quality Furniture Repair, began his journey in 1998 as a delivery driver for Lacks Furniture. Over time, he worked his way up to the position of manager of delivery and warehouse operations. During his tenure, Ronnie attended Mohawk training classes, where he honed his skills in furniture repair for Lacks.

After 11 years with the company, his expertise in wood, upholstery, and leather repair caught the attention of Ivan Smith Furniture, where he worked for six years. In 2014, Ronnie decided to pursue his passion independently, founding Artisan Quality Furniture Repair.

Today, Ronnie continues to contract with Ivan Smith Furniture and other furniture retailers while also providing private repair services for homes and businesses. With a dedication to restoring old furniture to its former glory, he takes pride in making his customers happy and feels truly blessed to do what he loves every day.
